Discover our methodology and unlock your potential to become the best teacher you can be!
OUR METHODOLOGY
With over 10 years each of professional teaching experience, we have created a methodology that combines our expertise as dancers, performers, educators, musicians, and cultural ambassadors to create a unique and holistic approach to equipping prospective instructors with the valuable tools. A methodology with dance and teaching techniques, as well as a vocabulary and class structure, that honors the integrity and history of the island.
Our methodology has been carefully crafted and tailored for the skill-set necessary to achieve a successful career as a Bachata Dominicana instructor, through an approachable and inspiring system of learning.
MUSIC AND HISTORY
Learn about the collision of three different cultures on one island, which created the rich history and diverse music we know today as bachata. Learn about its core influencing genres; merengue, bolero, and son, as well as other culturally significant genres like palo, gaga, dembow, and more.
Part of the instructor training will focus on the music and history so that you have a more complete knowledge and understanding of all aspects of bachata. You will gain access to educational materials covering history and how to transmit the information to your students in a fun and inviting way.
